Peter Hook & The Light - 15.11.2018, Wrocław

Peter Hook, the legendary bass player of JOY DIVISION and NEW ORDER played an extraordinary concert in Wrocław, Zaklęte Rewiry on 15.11.2018. It was a show to present the music of "Substance", which includes the most popular pieces by Joy Division, as well as those of "Unknown Pleasures". I must admit Peter Hook & The Light brightened the night!

The concert was divided into two parts - the first included a lot of New Order songs while the latter was devoted strictly to Joy Division. The impression was marvellous - lively, vibrating guitars, stylish lights, talented band and extremely easy-going Hookie -it all stood for a fantastic gig.

It's kinda funny but the best sum up was given to me by a taxi driver who transported me to and from the concert. He had no idea who Peter Hook and Joy Division are but he said " There is nothing better than live guitars - nothing can be compared to that ". And that's the truth indeed!

Peter Hook, legendarny basista JOY DIVISION oraz NEW ORDER zagrał niesamowity koncert we wrocławskich Zaklętych Rewirach 15.11.2018 roku. Z założenia miał to być koncert prezentujący materiał z płyty "Substance", zawierającej najbardziej rozpoznawalne utwory Joy Division jak i te z albumu "Unknow Pleasures". Trzeba przyznać, że Peter Hook & The Light rozjaśnili wczorajszy wieczór we Wrocławiu.

Koncert podzielony był na dwie części - w pierwszej sporo było utworów New Order a druga ściśle już poświęcona była utworom Joy Division. Muszę przyznać że wrażenia były niesamowite - przepiękny, stylowy koncert, żywe, wibrujące gitary, niezwykle sympatyczny Hookie i utalentowany zespół - to wszystko zapewniło niesamowite wrażenia.

W sumie to zabawne, ale bardzo trafnie podsumował to kierowca, który wiózł mnie na koncert - nie miał pojęcia kto to jest Peter Hook, Joy Division czy New Order, ale powiedział tak " nie ma to jak żywe gitary, nic nie może się z tym równać".
